Seeing the world through my eyes...

As a geologist and volcano researcher I see the world with different eyes. With my photographs, I want to share my fascination with nature and tell the stories I read in the landscape.

Att se världen genom mina ögon...

Att vara geolog och vulkanforskare har förändrat mitt sätt att se världen. Med mina bilder vill jag dela min fascination för naturen och berätta historier som jag läser i landskapet.

Iceland

My favourite place in the whole world... I love the colours, the light, the roughness of the landscape, the clean water, and the clarity of Iceland's geological language.  Iceland has so much to tell on how geological plates move, how the Earth`s crust is created, how volcanoes work.

I have studied active and dead volcanoes in Iceland for more than 12 years.   I have climbed on the top of old magma chambers and inside the roots of dead volcanoes.  They have a lot to tell us, we only have to listen.

Island

Min absoluta favoritplats i hela världen... Jag älskar färgerna, ljuset, det vassa landskapet, the rena vattnet, and tydligheten i Islands geologiska språk.  Island har så mycket att berätta om hur de geologiska plattorna rör sig, hur jordskorpan bildas, hur vulkaner fungerar.

Jag har undersökt aktiva och döda vulkaner i Island i mer än 12 år. Jag har klättrat till toppen av gamla magmakammare och in i döda vulkaners rötter. De har mycket att berätta, vi behöver bara lyssna.
